Today’s Movie - Modigliani
Today I decided I wasn’t going to do anything, sense I’m supposed to be resting. It was really hard because there is a ton of paperwork that needs to be done and other household chores. But, I really was able to relax today.
Again, I woke up around 11 am, spent time with God, had breakfast (really it was lunch) at 1pm. And today I watched Modigliani. I really enjoyed the movie although the critics didn’t give it the best reviews. But what do the critics know? They’re usually wrong about movies anyway. Andy Garcia played the artist Modigliani, set in Paris in 1919. The movie is about art, his rivalry with Picasso, but mostly about his tragic romance with Jeanne. The movie is loosely based on true story.
If you want the true then I’d suggest the Wikipedia version or here. After I see movies based on real people it makes me want to learn more about then. I’m intrigued.
This is a portrait of Madame Jeanne Hebuteme, 1917. It’s part of the collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

[...] I think this past week of resting has been good for me. I’ve spent most of my time sleeping (12 - 15 hours a night), reading “When Life and Beliefs Collide”, praying, and watching movies. I’ve forced myself not to do anything more this week. Taking baths with epson salt has also help my body aches. But like I said earlier, I’m feeling a better today - I did the laundry and ironed. And even though that’s not a lot, it’s about all I can do for today. We’re having leftovers for dinner tonight and watching another movie. Then back to bed for another 12 hours or so. [...]
